According to Moroccanoil's celebrity colorist, Lorri Goddard.
While last summer's hair color vibe was on the cooler-toned side, this season Goddard is taking her clients (Disclaimer: Not everyone mentioned below has their hair colored by her!) down a warmer route. — and we're not surprised. Especially since golden tones in the hair instantly warm up the skin and complement a summer-induced, sun-kissed glow flawlessly.

With any bright color, you're going to want to start with a light base (ask your colorist for a double process), and then you can play with different shades from there, applying temporary color onto your strands to get the look. Want to get a few different tones out of one specific shade? Start with a deep version of pink, for example, and then each time you wash it, it will get lighter and lighter, eventually leaving you with a paler color, like Fernanda Ly's.
5 Tailormade Tips
6 Solid Shades
7 Honey Blondes
8 Sun-Kissed Color
9 Strawberry Blondes
If you're already a redhead and want to go lighter, strawberry blonde with ribbony highlights is a stunning option. It gives you more of a sun-kissed effect, rather than having your color appear dull and flat. If you’re blonde and want to add a light red hint of color to your hair, ask your colorist to apply a light reddish-colored glaze over your strands. If you have darker hair, you’d first lighten it with a single process (permanent hair color that lifts the pigment out), and then add in highlights from there.
