Consider this the type-A version of the topknot. It's neat, precise, and every single strand of hair is perfectly in place. The secret? Hair spray. Mist flexible-hold hair spray on a flat brush (we're partial to R + Co Vicious Strong Hold Flexible Hairspray) and glide it through the hair, then flip your head over and brush the underside. With your head still flipped upside down, gather your hair into a ponytail at the very top center of the head. Twist the ponytail around the base, tuck the ends under, and slide in a few U-shaped pins. Finish by misting a clean spooley brush with hair spray and skim it over stray pieces around the ears and neck so they lie flat.
