What if we told you that out there in the world a full-coverage
foundation that covers everything exists. Literally, everything: acne,
scars, inflammation, birthmarks, bug bites, that tattoo you got with
your boyfriend's initials in college. Intrigued? Yeah, we were, too.
Which is why when beauty blogger Nikkia Joy discovered the magical
makeup dubbed the "World's Most Full-Coverage Foundation," in a recent
YouTube video, our ears perked right up.
[post_ads]Joy recently put the
much-hyped makeup to the test, applying and reviewing the heavy,
hypoallergenic coverup — which is called Dermacol Make-Up Cover
Foundation — in a 13-minute clip.
Watching the video for the first time we thought she might be on to
something; at first glance this stuff appears to be basically spackle
for your face.
Here's what we mean: Before blending on the makeup,
Joy gave viewers a glance at her makeup-free complexion, which, we've
got to admit, is gorgeous with or without makeup, but we digress. With a
few dabs of the Dermacol foundation applied with a makeup sponge, Joy's
previously existing underlying redness and excess oil vanished without a
trace. Her skin was smooth, soft, and flawless.
Even Joy
herself was impressed by the results. "It's very, very full coverage,
but I don't feel like I look like a cake face," she says. However, after
following up with her "super low-key, natural" makeup (blush, brow, and
a pinky nude lip) and trekking outside for a Sunday afternoon bike
ride, eight hours later Joy returned to give her final review, and let's
just say this may not actually be the "World's Most Full-Coverage
Foundation" it's hyped up to be.

"Something bizarre is happening to my
nose," she says, as she shows the camera her foundation separating on
her nose. "It's like ... reptile scales! Like my pores have sucked the
foundation in."
So, while maybe not the "World's Best," the Dermacol Make-Up Cover Foundation certainly deserves a pat on the back for its concealing powers. It covers everything, well — at least for a few hours.
