Well, everyone, it seems the 100 Layers Challenge is back. Yup, that same viral trend that gave us 100 layers of wax, foundation, lipstick, and lashes. Who dares to bring this back into our radar? Korean beauty brand Soko Glam, which just celebrated hitting 100,000 followers on Instagram with a 100 Layers of Sheet Masks Challenge.
[post_ads]Co-founder and licensed esthetician Charlotte Cho was brave enough to try this out. The brand posted the video to Instagram with the caption: "Soko Glam hit 100k followers on Instagram!!! Co-founder @charlottejcho wanted to celebrate this occasion (in a true K-beauty fashion), by trying on 100 layers of sheet masks!"
Watch as Cho adds layer after layer of sheet masks to her face. After 50, she mentions she needs a straw to breathe! After someone pops it into her mouth, she continues up to 100. It looks wet and heavy and honestly pretty terrifying. Please do not try this at home.
Soko Glam made sure to add the same disclaimer, making sure no K-beauty skincare fans think this challenge is something that should be repeated. The brand wrote:
"DISCLAIMER: We do NOT promote or recommend trying on 100 sheet masks at the same time! This video should not be recreated- it was done for fun :) To properly use a sheet mask, take one single sheet mask after cleansing and toning your skin, and apply for the duration your sheet mask instructions suggests. Pat remaining essence into skin until fully absorbed, and discard the sheet mask after use!)"
