Beauty Blenders are an incredible invention that many makeup enthusiasts depend on to help blend their makeup to a perfect, flawless finish. The little egg-shaped sponges are pretty magical, and we can't imagine what our faces would look like without the even coverage they impart. However, cleaning a Beauty Blender is practically the worst chore ever, even though it has to be done regularly to extend the life of our makeup's BFF.
[post_ads]A Twitter user found an efficient, surprising way to get her Blender squeaky clean — and no, it doesn't involve anyone's testicles. Her genius hack was right under our noses this whole time: dish soap!
However, @2chiinzzz isn't using just Dawn to clean her Blender. Rather, she soaks the sponge in "fairy liquid" (that's Scottish for dish soap) and water, then zaps it all in the microwave for a minute. Presto! The Beauty Blender emerges clean as a whistle. Mind = blown.
Don't believe it's that easy? Check out her photos for proof:

This is honestly the best way to get all make up off a beauty blender.— 2CHINZz (@2chiinzzz) June 6, 2017
Put it in a cup with water and fairy liquid then microwave for 1min! pic.twitter.com/9pIR2l5ALE

Her dish soap hack is so simple we honestly feel a little foolish that we didn't think of it ourselves, and we're not alone. Thousands have retweeted her cleaning tip, and some were even surprised at how efficient the dish soap + microwave equation was. Isn't it always the simplest hacks that are the most effective?Made me realise I actually have a purple beauty blender 😅 pic.twitter.com/cmRofocnPc— Lauren✨ (@LozzaMannn) June 6, 2017

Now that we know cleaning a Beauty Blender takes literally one minute, there's really no excuse for letting them get all dirty and full of foundation at the bottom of our makeup bags. We'll be channeling our inner Martha Stewart much more regularly now.
