[post_ads]There's a seemingly endless supply of hair color trends out there, but even though these can vary from the oh-so-subtle to the wild and crazy,
one thing is quite consistent: These new shades often work best on
blondes (real or manmade). But the latest color trend is actually
perfect for brown-haired ladies! It's called cherry bombre hair — a.k.a.
the "cherry bomb ombre" — and it's about to be your new favorite for
winter.
Cherry bombre hair, coined by celebrity colorist Beth Minardi, features red tones woven into brown hair to "add energy and dimension." It's the opposite of the secret rainbow hair trend
— rather than subtly hiding a super dramatic shade underneath your
locks, the pop of color is totally visible but still quite understated.
While this isn't the first trend to work great on brunettes — see: oil slick hair —
it is certainly one of the most flattering and easy styles. Plus, it's
accessible to color newbies, even if you're a little nervous about
making a change. "This shade works well on olive or porcelain skin
tones, but red tones can be played up or down to suit any complexion,"
Minardi tells Good Housekeeping. "This style is best for natural brunettes with long layers or no layers, as it requires minimal dying processes to achieve."

If you want to make the switch to having deliciously cherry locks, Minardi advises asking your stylist for rich, cool reds
placed throughout your hair. And the best news: It's relatively
low maintenance, so you won't have to run back to the salon every couple
of weeks to make sure it looks great.
