Start slow for sleeping in a corset
We suggest starting slow with naps and then increasing the duration. If there is a feeling of restlessness and uneasiness in between then remove the corset immediately and relax your muscles.
Loosen your corset by few inches as compared to your day fit
During night, when our body is at rest it undergoes “Rest and Ruminate” reaction. Much of the blood flow of our body is directed away from limbs and into the gut and abdomen; for enhanced food digestion and nourishment of the internal organs. Our midsection expands slightly at night. So, loosening your corset while sleeping will decrease the uneasiness and chances of bloating of your abdomen.
Drink before sleeping in a corset
At night you may sweat a lot because of the tight corset which can lead to dehydration in the morning. So, in order to avoid dehydration sip some water before sleeping.
Wear less restrictive corset during the night
If you wear double boned steel corsets during the day, then switch to single boned corsets for sleeping. You can also choose the small clinchers or ribbon corsets for sleeping in a corset.
