Glossy hair, glowing skin, even complexions
– Indian women are gorgeous! We just had to find out what makes them
such beauty icons to women around the world – and of course, borrow
their secret ingredients for ourselves.
[post_ads_2]Honey
Known for its excellent hydrating properties,
honey is also a wonderful antiseptic. It’s used to help cure burn
wounds and diminish scars – all rejuvenating properties we want!
Tulsi (Basil)
Also
known as holy basil, this plant is hugely popular in India due to its
healing qualities. It’s packed with antioxidants which we know fight
free radicals, helping you look more radiant.
Make your own moisturising face mask with this simple recipe: grind
Tulsi leaves, add a teaspoon of honey and stir to create a thick paste.
Apply to your skin and wash off after 10 minutes.
[post_ads_2]Turmeric
This aromatic spice is a great antiseptic and anti-inflammatory too. It’s also full of antioxidants, which, when applied to stretch marks,
can help to diminish them. Simply mix two tablespoons of besan (a flour
made from chickpeas) and a pinch of turmeric into a bowl. Stir the
ingredients together to create a paste, then apply it directly to the
affected areas. Wait 15 to 20 minutes, and rinse with warm water.
Another plus! Turmeric can also tackle wrinkles.
Combine raw turmeric powder, rice powder, raw milk, and tomato juice
into a mask-like paste. Apply to your face and let it dry for about 30
minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Coconut oil
Take
a tablespoon of coconut oil, and heat it up gently by placing it in a
bowl of hot water. Massage the liquid into your head for the ultimate scalp treatment. Then pull the liquid through your strands for a moisture boost. Leave it on overnight and wash in the morning.
