You've seen the side braid and the side ponytail, but let us—or rather hairstylist Adir Abergel and actress Amber Heard—introduce you to the side knot. To start, add some texture with a half-inch curling iron and spritz in some texturizing spray from roots to the midlength. Pull the hair into a high off-center ponytail and hide the elastic with a small piece of hair. Back-comb the ponytail, spritz it with hair spray, then twist the tail and direct it to the side of your head, securing it with a few bobby pins (the ends should fall by the nape of your neck). Then take a simple metal barrette (we like the ones from Sylvain Le Hen) and fasten it across the ends at eye level.
