Face wipes are every busy girl's best friend. Can't be bothered with a full-on skincare routine? No worries — a five-second rubdown with a makeup wipe and you're good to go, right? Not so fast.
It turns out there's actually a right and wrong way to wash your face using wipes. And you might have been doing it wrong all this time.

"It's
important to use your wipe from the forehead down to the jaw so you
don't end up redistributing oil and bacteria around your face and causing breakouts," Debra Luftman, MD, Beverly Hills-based dermatologist and Simple Skincare consultant, told InStyle.
Dr. Luftman says to leave the worst areas 'til the end.
"Finish wiping at your nose, as it's one of the grimiest parts of the face," she said.
The final step? Throw out the wipe. We'll never use them the same way ever again
