As any responsible pet owner knows, taking care of animals can be a lot of work. You have to feed them, bathe them, and, of course, make sure their nails are always on fleek — especially if your pet happens to be a turtle. Yep, "turtle manicures" are officially blowing up the Internet, thanks to Twitter user _@yagirlkeyy, and they're guaranteed to be the cutest thing you've seen all day.
[post_ads]As Mashable reports, @yagirlkeyy_ (aka Kiana) Tweeted out a photo introducing the world to her new pet turtle, Juanita. Juanita is a green-and-yellow turtle small enough to fit in someone's (manicured) palm.
Did she get to pick out the color for herself? And how did anyone ever find a brush that tiny?!
The following week, Kiana showed off a new set of yellow nails (which may or may not have been purposely coordinated to match the turtle's shell), and Juanita got a fresh coat of paint, too.Naturally, the Internet loved it — the photo got over 108,000 likes — and users started sharing photos of their own pampered pets.Not only are turtle manicures undeniably adorable, they also make for great additions to nail selfies.

Who needs a multicolored background or an artfully placed Starbucks cup to complement their polish when they have a turtle just asking to be photographed? Pets, obviously, are much more than just photo props (they're family!), but these little cuties are an Instagram photo shoot waiting to happen. Just one caveat: if you're trying this at home, make sure you use a pet-safe nail polish and remover!
